We just started a mobile gaming company, and we have no prior experience in the industry. There. We said it.  Read on to find out why.

Why Mobile Games?

The worldwide mobile gaming industry has been surging with the adoption of smart phones and tablets. eMarketer estimates that 51.3% of the US population is a mobile gamer, with that number continuing to grow. Over the next few years, it’s reported that mobile gaming revenue will surpass console games.

Check out our infographic for more info on what the mobile gaming industry looks like today.

The Opportunity

You might call us crazy. But any startup needs a little crazy to really pull the trigger and put itself out there. We’re lifelong gamers (shoutout Millenials). Growing up, we dreamed of working at Nintendo to create the games we played.  Some dreams never die, and with the ease of access to develop and publish mobile games, now’s our chance to take the leap.
Yeah the barriers to entry are low and competition is at an all-time high, but with that comes the ability for newcomers like us to enter the space quickly with new, creative, out-of-the-box games. And we think we have a good shot at it.

We’re a few meetings in, the ideas are flowing, and we’re about to start something special.

Our Blog

Our goal for this blog is to pull back the curtain on how we started a business in the hyper-competitive mobile gaming space. We’ll share our progress, our successes, failures, challenges, and everything in between. Join us and enjoy the ride.

While we're hard at work on our first game, we'd love to know: What are your favorite mobile games at the moment and why?

I came across this 2 years ago and I stumbled upon it recently. Did you end up releasing a mobile game? If so, what is the name of it? Was it successful in your eyes and would you make another one? What did you learn from the experience?
