We’ve reached a standstill. In the month of September, we noticed our social media reach waning. Is it the type of content we’re producing and sharing? Or maybe we need to be provide more frequent updates or resources or industry info? Hopefully we can figure it out soon and get back on the track to growth.

Game Development

Coding awaits: As mentioned in our last monthly highlight, we started working with our developer to build our game in a 3D environment. The major issue we’re having is with the art and assets. It’s really holding us back from getting our 3D prototype up and running.

Assets

Back to the drawing board? Over the past couple months, we’ve finalized the 2D assets for our main protagonist characters and our basic enemy ninja, and we’re pretty stoked on how everything came out. What we’re not so sure about has been the conversion to 3D.  It’s been rough. So at this point, we need to determine how to keep producing without sacrificing asset quality.

What's Ahead

  • Flesh out the storyline: We haven’t forgotten about this (obviously this is a major part of building out the game), but we still haven’t made a lot of progress on this. At least not enough to report on… yet.
  • Complete 3D character renderings: We’re going to power through our asset issue and complete the 3D images for our major characters.
  • Additional characters established: While we’re at it, we’ll continue rounding out our main characters including another hero character and a boss bad guy.
  • Continue tweaking game play details: We'll continue to iterate on our game play and will be guided on our three criteria: 1) is it intuitive? 2) is it fun? and 3) is it addictive?
How do you guys get out of a development rut? Any tips and tricks to keep the momentum going
